Black Rock Coffee Bar continues its Arizona takeover. Having opened a Surprise outpost this past fall, plus three more shops in Tempe, Tucson, and Chandler, Black Rock is already plotting its next moves for the Lindsay Groves Marketplace.
What Now Phoenix has obtained public records indicating that a new Black Rock Coffee Bar will be built from the ground up at 2737 E. McKellips Road in northern Mesa. Design plans for the new shop were recently submitted and are now awaiting review and approval by the city.
If all goes according to plan, the brand new building will include space for indoor cafe seating, plus a drive-thru lane for on-the-go caffeine runs. Representatives for Black Rock Coffee Bar have confirmed that these plans are in the works, adding that they “won’t be open for a while” considering their current stage of development.
That said, perhaps we will be able to visit this new Black Rock location by late 2022. It won’t be long before this Oregon-based coffee chain’s Jackhammer, Blackout, I.V., Caramel Blondie, and Irish Coffee drinks are even more easily accessible to the East Valley.
