Black Rock Coffee Bar is planning aa additional Queen Creek location.
The coffee shop has filed an application with the Town of Queen Creek to open a 735 square foot shop at 245 Hunt Highway. The site is still in the planning stages, and no opening date has been announced.
In 2008, Jeff Hernandez and Daniel Brand opened the first Black Rock Coffee Bar Beaverton, Oregon. That 160-square-foot drive-thru became a success. Today, there are nearly 170 locations across seven states. The company is growing rapidly with the goal of owning and operating 1,000 locations by 2035.
In September 2025, Black Rock Coffee completed its initial public offering, using ticker symbol BRCB on the Nasdaq exchange. The IPO raised more than $338 million to fund the company’s growth plans.
Black Rock has gained a loyal following for its wide range of hot and iced coffee and espresso beverages such as the Irish Cream and the Jackhammer — a mocha with an extra double shot of espresso. It also serves unique “Fuel” energy drinks in flavors like Mai Tai and Blue Melon.
Black Rock also participates in a host of community events, hosting “give back” days where a portion of drink sales go directly to a cause or family and fundraising events. The company also donates coffee to community events.
