Black Rock Coffee Bar, known for its coffee and signature “Fuel” drinks, is planning an additional location in Peoria.
The boutique coffee chain recently submitted a site plan with the City of Peoria, “to allow for an approximately 1,484 square foot drive-thru coffee shop and indoor seating area on a 1.0-acre parcel”. The address listed on the permit is 95th Avenue and Peoria Avenue. An opening date is not yet known, as construction has not been started.
A listing on Colliers Real Estate notes that the land parcel is, “in close proximity to Peoria Power Center, Home Depot, At Home, and Petsmart”, making it an ideal location for people to do a caffeine stop.
Black Rock Coffee Bar was founded in 2008 by Daniel Brand and Jeff Hernandez in Oregon and has since relocated its headquarters to Arizona. It now has more than 160 locations throughout the western part of the U.S. Black Rock Coffee Bar recently went public and is traded on NASDAQ, under BRCB. Both Brand and Hernandez remain on the Board of Directors.
The shop is best known for its coffee drinks and its Fuel Energy drinks that combine the kick of an energy beverage with unique flavor profiles like Purple Galaxy (red raspberry and blue raspberry), Blue Melon (blue raspberry and watermelon), and Star Burst (watermelon and almond).
