The historic Roosevelt Row Arts District in Phoenix has it going on. We recently covered the plans for Sake House and Kahvi Coffee to open in monOrchid mixed-use building. Now we’re excited to share the neighborhood is about to get a new brewery too.

Safe Haven Brewery is slated to open later this year at 915 N Fourth St., between E Roosevelt St. and E Garfield St. While we were unable to reach the owners, Rykert and Gus Fowler, in time for publication, it appears the brewery and tap room has been a long time in the works. Last August, the brewery’s Instagram announced a home had finally been found. The floor plan shared at the time of the announcement shows a taproom with bar and seating as well as a packaging area, office, and of course, the brewery itself.

Safe Haven Brewery has some serious goals. The website elaborates, “our vision is to be Arizona’s premier craft brewery and elevate the state of Arizona into the best craft beer community in the country.” Safe Haven plans to do this by using sustainable, high quality ingredients, while caring for the environment, the AZ community, and their team. The brewery will focus on local ingredients to ensure an ‘amazing drinking experience.’

As recently as March, the brewery appeared to be undergoing renovations. I suggest you follow their social media to stay in the know regarding when Safe Haven will be open and pouring brews in Phoenix’s Roosevelt Row.
