Bubbakoo’s Burritos made its Arizona debut earlier this year in Gilbert to some relatively positive reviews. But while this new brand still finds its footing in the desert, it looks like it’s already gearing up to open a second location.
For East Valley folks who simply haven’t had the chance to drive out to San Tan Village to try Bubbakoo’s Burritos, perhaps having one in Chandler might be of interest to you. Franchisee Jason Armstrong confirmed with What Now Phoenix that Chandler is the next city they are scouting and is in lease negotiations for a space at Paseo Lindo on Arizona Avenue. Meanwhile, a building permit indicating a tenant fit-out for Bubbakoo’s at this location has been submitted to the city.
Armstrong makes it clear that these plans are not yet official as of press time, but is hopeful that they will be able to open in Chandler by early 2023 adding, “We are excited for the opportunity for sure!” Likewise, we’re sure many Chandler folks will be intrigued to have this new dining option to look forward to as well.
This would be the second store for Armstrong, who along with his brother Brian signed a 15-unit deal with Bubbakoo’s corporate to introduce the brand to the Valley. Founded in New Jersey in 2008, Bubbakoo’s Burritos is known for its customizable burritos, nachos, tacos, quesadillas, salads and more with a wide variety of menu options.
