Earlier this month, Cafe Zupas filed a pre-application with the city of Queen Creek for a new outpost to be located at 20745 E Walnut Rd. According to public records, the application is currently in review.

A representative of Cafe Zupas did not immediately return a request for comment.

Cafe Zupas was founded in Provo, Utah in 2004 by tech industry friends, Rob Seely and Dustin Schulthies, who “traveled extensively, eating great food in other locations,” but “noticed there was a lack of healthful options at home,” according to an article on Southwest News Media.

As a result, they came up with their “transparent kitchens” model, in which 203 premium ingredients are used to make “real meals, crafted from scratch, the way you would at home (if you had a lot more time on your hands),” as the company writes on its official website.

The menu features a classic line-up of salads, soups, and sandwiches, as well as a rotating cast of seasonal favorites, desserts, sides, and bowls.

Simply put, “It’s food that’s always real, whole, and healthy prepared with care and consideration. In other words, it’s slow food served fast.”
