Cantina Gueros is plotting a second location in Goodyear at 15375 W. McDowell Road in the former Native Grill & Wings space. Westside Concepts owner Joe Lucidi was recently issued an interim alcohol license from the state in anticipation of a spring opening. In the meantime, Luicidi is waiting on equipment to arrive to complete the buildout.
Cantina Gueros serves Abuela’s traditional recipes with a modern twist. Think Pozole Ramen, Hot Cheetos Elote, Spicy Watermelon, and Margarita Floats. Even better are their Taco Tuesday specials and weekday Happy Hours, which are a hit at their first location in Peoria.
This will be the eighth restaurant from Westside Concepts. Luicidi first opened Haymaker Restaurant in 2013, followed by two more locations plus The Social on 83rd, NW Coffee, Fire House Event Center, and Cantina Gueros. The group also manages Westside Catering, which offers custom menus or catering from any of their restaurants.
