Chili’s the casual dining chain that’s popular for its menu of Tex-Mex-inspired dishes and American classics, is opening a new restaurant at 5990 W. Baseline Road in Laveen, Arizona.

Chili’s Grill and Bar #1689 is set to open early November 2025, with members of the Laveen, Arizona Facebook Group anticipating the restaurant’s opening.

Chili’s was founded in 1975 in Dallas, Texas by Larry Levine and quickly grew in popularity thanks to its well-priced food and drink. In 1983, Norman Brinker purchased Chili’s and continued its upward trajectory.

Today, parent company Brinker International owns, operates, or franchises more than 1,600 restaurants in 28 countries and 2 U.S. territories under the Chili’s and Maggiano’s Little Italy brands, with the Laveen, Arizona Chili’s a corporate-owned entity. Chili’s was featured in Fortune recently for its streamlined approach to restaurant operations, thanks in part to the leadership of Brinker CEO Kevin Hochman, who joined the company in 2022.

Chili’s is a longtime favorite for its consumer deals like $6 featured margaritas, a value-driven happy hour, and its “My Chili’s” rewards program.

Popular menu items include crispy chicken crispers, Southwestern eggrolls, chicken bacon ranch quesadillas, sizzling fajitas, and its famous full rack of baby back ribs. The restaurant also offers a “guiltless grill” menu that includes “better-for-you” options such as ancho salmon, a “guiltless” sirloin steak, and margarita grilled chicken.
