Chino-Mex announced last month that they are excited to debut their second location at 6140 W. Chandler Blvd., in the former Bibio Modern Korean Kitchen. Chino-Mex owner Carlos Castillo confirmed with What Now Phoenix that their second restaurant is scheduled to open in February

The Asian-Mexican fusion restaurant is popular for their Quesabirria tacos, Birria Ramen, and a variety of Chinese-inspired dishes such as Pollo Peño and Coco Loco Shrimp. On the sweet side, they serve traditional Licuados, plus milkshakes with boba that come in fun flavors like cheesecake.

Chino-Mex originated as El Castillo Chinese & Mexican Buffet by South Mountain Village in Phoenix. In 2020, they rebranded themselves as Chino-Mex, serving high-quality home style cooking and excellent customer service. Their menu is a fusion of their family roots in California, Michoacán and El Salvador.

With the success of their original Phoenix location, Chino-Mex has begun offering franchising opportunities, so this second location is likely to be the first of many more throughout the Valley. Check out chino-mex.com for more information and follow them on Instagram or Facebook
