After serving the community for almost three years, Copper & Logs has officially closed and sold, making way for Holiday Toast & Tap, located at 832 S Greenfield Rd #101.
The restaurant was closed on Friday, June 30, and sold to new owners, Jennifer and Will Tews, who will transform the space into Holiday Toast & Tap, first reported by Mouth by Southwest. There is no exact date, but the new owners are redeveloping the space for a new brand with limited interior renovations. While some menu items from Copper & Logs may make the cut for the new menu, the Tews are currently planning a menu that fits their version for the space. The new owners are now waiting on a new liquor license.
Copper & Logs Craft Kitchen opened in 2020 as a gastropub serving European cuisine under owners Mairead and Fabrice Buschtez. Despite opening the restaurant during the pandemic, they saw great success for a couple of years. The couple decided to sell the restaurant space not because of a lack of interest but because of rising rental costs. The family also announced that their daughter was expecting their first child and wants to spend more time with the family.
“We want to thank you for your unwavering support since we opened Copper & Logs in February 2020,” according to Copper & Log’s last Facebook post. “We thought we wouldn’t survive, but we did, and we have thrived for the past three years. As a family-owned restaurant, we always operate on the premise that family comes first. When our daughter Laura announced she is expecting her first child, we decided the time was right to end one chapter and begin a new one.”
