Coming soon to Desert Ridge Marketplace is Dirty Dough, the cookie company that understands it’s what’s on the inside that counts. The shopping center recently announced that Dirty Dough is confirmed to open this year outside of AMC Theatres.

What Now Phoenix got in touch with Dirty Dough franchisee Nate Jaehnig, who says that the goal is to open by the end of the year, hopefully before Christmas. “Their cookies are awesome,” Jaehnig says. “Dirty Dough is a really fun concept and I liked the marketing around it. The cookies are messy (in a delicious way) and for us that’s okay because we understand that life can be messy.”

Dirty Dough is known for their unique process of creating super-stuffed, multilayered cookies with a variety of mix-ins and gooey-soft centers. While there are tried and true classics  — Stuffed Chocolate Chip, Raspberry Toaster Tart — that you’ll always find on the menu, Dirty Dough introduces new flavors weekly — Strawberry Shortcake, Buckeye Brownie — to give customers something new to look forward to on every visit.

For Jaehnig, opening a Dirty Dough franchise is also another way for him to give back to his community, as he stands behind the company’s support of mental health awareness for kids and teens. And this is just the beginning — following this upcoming store, Jaehnig will open locations in north Phoenix and Peoria in the future.
