The FanDuel Sportsbook at PHX Arena, located at 201 E. Jefferson Street in downtown Phoenix, is set to close and will be converted into a bar and lounge.

FanDuel Sportsbook will end in-person betting at its Phoenix Suns Arena location on July 24, according to Cronkite News. The space will be converted into a FanDuel lounge, removing the option to place physical bets but keeping a branded presence at the venue. The facility originally opened on September 9, 2021, the same day Arizona legalized sports wagering.

The Phoenix location has contributed only a small portion of FanDuel’s total revenue in the state. Industry data indicate that the site typically accounted for approximately 1% of the company’s monthly handle in Arizona, serving more as a marketing tool than a significant income source.

During the 2024–25 NFL season, FanDuel reported substantial financial losses. Parent company Flutter lost $370 million as bettors outperformed the sportsbook. In September alone, FanDuel took in $7.2 million in wagers and paid out close to $10 million. As a result, the company revised its betting odds policies. A growing preference for mobile betting has led to a decline in demand for in-person sportsbooks.

Fans increasingly use FanDuel’s website and app to place wagers, a trend that played a significant role in the decision to close the physical facility in Phoenix. Despite the change, FanDuel will continue its partnership with the Phoenix Suns and Phoenix Mercury. Attendees at games can still expect to see betting-related promotions, including parlays and odds, featured throughout the arena.

FanDuel is also expanding its media footprint through its streaming platform, FanDuel Sports Network. The service has partnered with 13 NBA teams and nine MLB teams, though Arizona has not yet joined. The network plans to integrate live betting content with broadcasts as it continues to grow its presence in professional sports. Despite its name, FanDuel Sports Network is not owned by FanDuel. The network is owned and operated by Main Street Sports Group, with FanDuel serving solely as a branding partner.
