Firebirds Wood Fired Grill, a restaurant featuring steaks, chicken and more all fired to order, is opening a restaurant in Norterra, a large multi-use planned community in North Phoenix.

According to Upper West Side Phoenix, the restaurant will open at Union Street at Norterra, located at 2250 West Happy Valley Road. A representative for Firebirds said the restaurant should open within a few months. Other  tenants at Union Street will include Cava, Shake Shack, Tropical Smoothie Cafe, and a breakfast-centric eatery.

Firebirds is a casual American steakhouse owned by Garnett Station Partners, a principal investment firm. The restaurant is known for its relaxed atmosphere, wood-fired steaks and entrees, and a lively atmosphere. The restaurant offers scratch-made dishes using quality ingredients, and a neighborhood-friendly happy hour.

Firebirds specializes in hand cut steaks that are 21-day-aged and butchered in-house, then hardwood grilled to order. Steaks can be served with lobster or shrimp, and other menu items include pork chops, roasted chicken, and prime rib on the weekends. In addition, the restaurant offers a weekend brunch, family meals, burgers, and classic salads.

The restaurant is also a partner with Alex’s Lemonade Stand and donates $1.25 for every glass of lemonade sold. To date, it has raised more than $3.5 million for the foundation to be used in the fight against childhood cancers.
