Word around the Phoenix restaurant scene is that The VIG Uptown is closing down on December 19th to make way for The Genuine. Planned for a February 2022 opening, Genuine Concepts’ namesake and flagship restaurant promises an elevated all-day dining experience led by Chef Jeremy Pacheco

Genuine Concepts founding partner Tucker Woodbury tells What Now Phoenix that with eight successful ventures under their belt, it was high time for something new. The Genuine is a chef-driven concept that accomplishes the team’s long-time goal of offering a sublime dining experience that brings their company to the next level.

Chef Jeremy Pacheco and his team get to showcase their culinary chops with a menu built around Pacheco’s custom-crafted Mugnaini wood-fired oven. Expect dishes such as wood-fired prawns, octopus, steak, chicken and pizza, in addition to unique charcuterie boards and artisan cheeses.

The Genuine will still have the same great selection of local craft beers, local wines, and creative cocktails that Genuine Concepts is known for. They will be open every day for lunch and dinner, as well as brunch on the weekends.

The Genuine will take over 6015 N. 16th St., while The VIG Uptown will relocate in the near future. For more more information, follow @thegenuineaz on Instagram.
