Habit Burger & Grill is adding to its roster of restaurants in the Greater Phoenix area.

The restaurant chain has announced the imminent opening of a new location, 19980 S. Ellsworth Road in Queen Creek on its website. No opening date has been announced, but the restaurant is currently hiring.

Habit Burger & Grill was founded in California in 1969 under the name, The Hamburger Habit. In 1980, brothers Brent and Bruce Reichard took over the business, starting the chain’s expansion. In 2020, Yum Brands, parent company of fast food giants such as Taco Bell, KFC, and Pizza Hut, purchased the burger company, with the Reichard brothers selling the last eight of their restaurants to Yum Brands in 2021, according to the Santa Barbara Independent.

Habit Burger & Grill is known for its char burgers, made with 100% fresh beef and flame grilled at each restaurant. In addition to burgers, Habit Burger serves up some unique menu items like an ahi tuna sandwich, a sirloin steak sandwich, veggie burgers, and a fresh Cobb salad. The restaurant also offers family boxes that can feed a hungry family on the go.

The restaurant currently has over 380 locations across 14 states and internationally.  Currently, there are 14 Habit Burgers in Arizona. When the Queen Creek location opens, it will be the 15th one.
