High Tide Seafood Bar & Grill, a popular seafood restaurant in the valley, is preparing to open a new location in GSQ, Goodyear’s new downtown and city center.

Co-owners Kim and Chris Glass opened the concept in Gilbert before expanding to The Steelyard in Chandler. The couple is now getting ready to open an 8,500-square-foot restaurant in Fall 2024, according to Phoenix Business Journal. Customers can expect a sushi bar, steam kettle cooking, a private dining room, wine from a custom-made cellar with over 500 bottles, and plenty of seafood options. Kim Glass says in the announcement that the new space will be upscale yet very casual.

“We want to exceed our guests’ expectations,” Kim Glass says in a press release from the city of Goodyear. “We’re very excited to be part of GSQ in Goodyear. It’s going to be a good mix of everything.”

When the new restaurant opens late next year, it will be surrounded by several other new businesses coming to the area, including The Yard Milkshake Bar, The Stillery, Copper & Sage gastropub, and Shake Shack. QSR also expects to welcome Globe Corp.’s three-story, class A office building, which is about 60% leased with new tenants. High Tide Seafood Bar & Grill will provide the area with a much-needed seafood option.

“This announcement is huge, and we are very excited that High Tide has chosen Goodyear for its expansion to the West Valley,” Mayor Joe Pizzillo said in a press release. “Our residents have made it very clear that they want a variety of dining options, and High Tide has a reputation for providing a high-quality dining experience that is both delicious and memorable. Having grown up on the coast, I love fresh seafood, and I can’t wait to take my family to enjoy a meal at High Tide.”
