The homegrown roaster and cafe, Press Coffee, is forecasting a few more locations inside Sprouts Farmers Markets following a successful trial run earlier this year, as well as some standalone units for 2023, according to a recent article in the Phoenix Business Journal.

Press Coffee’s co-owner Jason Kyle told the Business Journal that the company would like to open three to five more Sprouts locations in the next year, but that Sprouts ultimately “has the say on when and where.”

Nevertheless, Kyle said that since opening the first Press Coffee inside the Sprouts located at 3320 N 7th Ave back in November, “There’s been a great response,” adding, “Both sides are looking at how we can grow this.”

In addition to its Sprouts outposts, Press Coffee is also eyeing more standalone units next year, and more specifically, real estate inside existing office buildings, a strategy that began to take shape this year with various openings in Tempe and Scottsdale.

“Landlords find that it’s a benefit to attract new tenants,” Kyle told the Business Journal. “It’s just like a fitness center in an apartment complex.”
