Of all the things one can buy by the bucket, this AZ-based walk-up eatery has got to be the first to provide its rather ingenious offering: spaghetti. If you haven’t already, you’ll want to partake in founder and CEO Bret DaCosta’s AZ-original experience.
The shop, which has expanded over the years to include eight to-go windows, has no pretenses. You literally buy spaghetti by the bucket (and/or ‘bodacious’ meatball subs, New York Style cheesecake, and full-loaf garlic bread, you know, if you’re into that sort of thing). Spaghetti comes in three bucket sizes, the largest of which is the ‘Famiglia,’ or, a pound and a half of pasta and marinara in all its pasta-y & marinara-y glory. Smaller helpings, ‘Mezzano’ and ‘Bambino’ might suit a smaller party—but then again who doesn’t want spaghetti leftovers?
DaCosta started this hot spaghetti to-go concept in Payson, AZ. Today, as previously covered by What Now Phoenix and announced on By the Bucket’s website, these buckets have expanded all over the state. And we have good news for those of you living in Apache Junction.
Our intel suggests the licensees of this branch, Dion and Amy Loyd, recently signed a lease for the company at 183 W Apache Trail, in Building A, Suite 106. By the Bucket Apache Junction will take over the 990 square-foot retail space next month. DoCosta told What Now Phoenix, the location will ideally open by mid-August.
Looks like your next hot Italian to-go meal just moved a little closer to home.
