The growing quick-service sandwich concept, Jason’s Deli, will be opening a 1,200-square-foot outpost that exclusively serves its meals to go in Scottsdale’s Barclay Centre, located at 6339 E Greenway Rd, according to a building permit filed with the city’s planning and development department.

A representative of Jason’s Deli did not immediately return a request for comment.

Operating according to the ethos, “If we wouldn’t serve it to our families, we’re not going to serve it to yours,” Jason’s Deli prides itself on being a pioneer in using wholesome, natural ingredients, having removed artificial trans fats from its food back in 2005. What’s more, the company has since given up a litany of other unhealthy additives, including processed MSG, high-fructose corn syrup, dyes, artificial colors, and artificial flavors.

The menu at Jason’s Deli spans bowls, soups, salads, pasta and potatoes, wraps, and of course, sandwiches, with signature favorites such as the Wild Salmon-with, Beefeater, New York Yankee, and Reuben the Great. However, the restaurant is perhaps best known for its Muffalettas, a sandwich that was invented in New Orleans and features its namesake bread with olive spread, provolone, and various meat options.

To date, Jason’s Deli operates some 250 locations in 28 states, four of which are in the greater Phoenix region, including one existing Scottsdale outpost at 10605 N Scottsdale Rd.
