Luna Grill, a fast-casual Mediterranean restaurant known for its flame-grilled kabobs and health-conscious menu, is a proposed tenant for a new retail development at the southwest corner of 29th Avenue and Dove Valley Road in Phoenix.
The restaurant is among several concepts expected to join the upcoming center, which sits just outside of the Upper West Side neighborhood. While official timelines have not been confirmed, community group UpperWestSidePHX shared an update on Instagram outlining several proposed businesses slated for the project, which aims to serve the growing residential population in North Phoenix.
Luna Grill’s menu features Mediterranean staples, including Garlic Bonfire Shrimp, Bistro Beef Kabob, fresh wraps, salads, and signature bowls. The chain emphasizes sustainable sourcing, offering cage-free chicken, grass-fed beef, and responsibly raised salmon. The menu also includes gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan-friendly options, along with sides like hummus, pita bread, and baklava.
Founded in San Diego in 2004, Luna Grill has expanded steadily across the western U.S., including multiple locations in Arizona. The company focuses on clean ingredients, transparency, and nutritional balance, with most items customizable for a range of dietary needs.
Other proposed tenants for the development include Handel’s Ice Cream, Oregano’s, OverEasy, Blo Blow Dry Bar, Pepper Lunch, and The Bar, a cocktail and comfort food spot currently operating in Uptown Phoenix and Arcadia. The mix of familiar brands and new additions reflects ongoing demand for dining and lifestyle amenities in the Dove Valley corridor. It’s unclear when any of these businesses is expected to open in this new development.
