Grayhawk Plaza is getting its first Indian restaurant. Family-owned and operated and specializing in Northern Indian cuisine, Namaste will open at 20851 North Scottsdale Road, neighboring Chipotle and Byond Yogurt, in early May.

“Our family be cooking all the food, and everyone who works in the restaurant is a member of our family,” says owner Rahul Sahota, who will man the kitchen alongside his father, head chef Kamal Kumar, while his mother, brother, and sister will manage the floor.

In addition to serving up authentic, home-cooked Indian dishes, the restaurant, at nearly 2,000 square feet, will feature hand-drawn wall art, including a giant mural of the Taj Mahal. As far as seating goes, Namaste will offer booths and tables indoors, as well as outdoor seating on its patio.

According to Sahota, they’ll be announcing the grand opening soon on their website, but you can expect to be dipping your garlic naan in their homemade masala sauce sometime in the next three weeks.
