Korean fried chicken spot Bonchon has announced they have four new locations coming to Tempe. This is part of an expansion plan that will be happening with five new stores in Alabama as well, while looking to expand further throughout Atlanta, Chicago, and Minnesota.

Franchisees John Pham, Joseph Lewis, Nhan Phan, and Roger Escobedo are in development on a location in Tempe at 704 S Myrtle Ave slated to open in Q1 2024, according to the company’s PR representative.

The first Bonchon location opened in New York City in 2006, and has continued to grow across the United States. There are also more than 400 restaurants across nine countries including Thailand, Philippines, Singapore, Cambodia, Myanmar, France, U.S, and Vietnam.

Their menu highlight is their Korean fried chicken, which is hand battered and double-fried, and hand brushed with unique sauces.

The eatery currently offers fast-casual, full dine-in, carry out, and delivery.

The franchisees did not immediately reply for comment to What Now Phoenix.
