Located at 1845 E. Broadway Road, #106 in Tempe, a new brewery and taproom Catalyst Crafted Ales is opening under the co-founders of the now-closed Ad Astra Brewing Co., which was formerly in Prescott.

The owners, Will Walthereson and Rex Williamson, will be sharing a mix of craft beer – such as IPAs, stouts, and sours – and even hard seltzer. One of these seltzers is called Purple Rain, which is a wine hybrid, according to their Instagram.

They have also partnered with other brewers in the craft beer space, such as Kreg Bahm, who owns Pour Wine & Taproom in Mesa.

In July, they shared a Facebook post that their grand bar area was under construction, and Phoenix New Times reported that they will open in October.

There will also be a restaurant called S.A.L.T. in the space, which is a seafood taco shop.

What Now Phoenix reached out to Catalyst Crafted Ales, but they did not immediately reply for comment.
