Orangedale Lounge, a brand new concept described as North Scottsdale’s newest and best “Dive Bar,” is opening soon in McDowell Mountain Ranch at 10121 East Bell Road, Ste 110.

The new dive bar will move into the former home of The Whining Pig in the McDowell Mountain Marketplace, according to the company’s website. It’s unclear when Orangedale Lounge will open, but customers can expect reasonable prices and great drinks when it does. This is the latest from Nathan Babb, Justin Transrud, and Mike (ROC) Muraco from ESPN local radio. The trio received a unanimous approval from the McDowell Mountain Ranch Homeowners Association in February. Orangedale Lounge will also have an exclusive beer mug club.

For a one-time fee of $225, members receive a personalized 22 oz. mug, with refills priced as pints, and a $2 discount on drafts every Monday when using their member mug. If you participate in the mug club, the special is all day, every day. Additional perks include a 20% discount on merchandise, an exclusive t-shirt, a special birthday beer offer, and access to quarterly events. Memberships are valid for one year from the purchase date, with renewals available at a discounted rate for returning members. Interested individuals can join by contacting Orangedale Lounge directly.

Orangedale Lounge’s name draws inspiration from Scottsdale’s history, which was nearly named “Orangedale” in 1894 before adopting its current name. The area, originally known for its citrus groves, was founded by Winfield Scott, who established a homestead near the Arizona canal. The lounge’s name pays homage to this rich heritage, reflecting a connection to Scottsdale’s agricultural roots and early development.

“At Orangedale Lounge, we pride ourselves on providing a warm and inviting atmosphere,” according to the company’s website. “Whether you’re here for a casual meet-up or a special celebration, our lounge is designed to make you feel right at home. For those of you who lived in Scottsdale for years, imagine OD’s like an old Maloney’s. We even have some former employees and are bringing in the movie clips! Plus, we cater to the golf and service industry with daily and nightly specials.”
