Oregano’s, the beloved locally-born restaurant that offers Italian favorites, is opening a new location in Buckeye.

The restaurant will be located at Buckeye Commons West, at the southwest corner of I-10 and Verrado Way, according to the city’s website. The new shopping center’s construction has completed, with tenants expected to start moving in in the coming months. An exact opening date has not been announced. When it opens, Oregano’s will join In-N-Out, Raising Cane’s, Superstar Car Wash, and Valvoline as major tenants.

Oregano’s was founded in Scottsdale in 1993 by Mark Russell. The restaurant is popular for its fun, casual atmosphere and delicious Chicago-style thin-crust and pan pizzas. The restaurant also offers pasta dishes that arrive with war, fresh garlic bread, and oversized salads. When visiting an Oregano’s “joint”, make sure to save room for one of its famous pizza cookies. The massive, shareable sweet treat takes 1/2 pound of cookie dough and bakes it in a six-inch pizza pan until it’s warn and gooey. It’s then topped with three scoops of vanilla ice cream for a delicious ending to a fantastic meal.
