The perfect pairing under one roof will open Downtown Phoenix’s warehouse district this summer. Popular pop-up Otra Pizzeria will open along with Better Days cocktail bar at historic Gerado’s Building at Third and Buchanan Streets.

According to Az Central, the downstairs will offer Neapolitan pizzas by Cesar Velasco. For years, Velasco has baked pies at his Otra Pizzeria pop-ups. Upstairs,  Kell Duncan (The Churchill and the soon-to-open Jefferson House in Peoria) will operate the Better Days bar, which is described as a a good, neighborhood bar with a pool table, a dart board, two wells, and music.

For pizzas, expect pies with quality ingredients such as the Tomato Pie with olive oil, basil, oregano, garlic purée, grana padano cheese, and D.O.P tomatoes; the Diablo with house made spicy sausage, pepperoni, salsa matcha, hot honey, and D.O.P. tomatoes;  and the Alla Vodka with basil, ricotta, tomato vodka sauce, and grana padano cheese.

A cocktail menu has not been released, but The Churchill’s beverage director, Fendi Vaughn, will take over the bar’s operations.  Though each spot will be its own entity, guests can order food and drinks on either floor.
