Pizza Patrón, an American pizza chain headquartered in San Antonio, is preparing to open a new location in Avondale at the corner of West Van Buren Street and Avondale Boulevard.
The company’s 11th restaurant to open in the Phoenix market and the 12th in the state of Arizona, with a single restaurant in Tucson, will be corpoarte-owned and is set to open sometime in the fourth quarter of 2025, considering the retail shopping center where the restaurant will be located is currently under construction, according to a representative from the company. This new restaurant will operate as a delivery and carryout location. This is one of three locations the company is working on, with two additional sites in development in Austin and Houston. The company representative tells What Now that the Phoenix market and the state of Arizona are fully corporate-owned.
“We are excited to continue expanding our brand in Phoenix, having opened two locations last year, and we look forward to ongoing growth in the area,” A representative from the company tells What Now Phoenix in an email.
Pizza Patrón, founded in 1986, has been mixing Latin flavors with traditional pizza to create a one-of-a-kind dining experience. Known for making fresh dough daily, it stands out from many pizza chains that rely on frozen dough. With a focus on high-quality ingredients, the restaurant offers unique options like its Maíz crust, a blend of corn and flour, and custom sauces like Alfredo and Diablo.
Since its beginnings, Pizza Patrón has been focused on serving the Latino community and offering a pizza experience reflecting its cultural roots. The brand’s bold take on pizza and commitment to authenticity and flavor have helped it grow from a small family business into a popular regional chain. By staying true to its mission of bringing fresh, flavorful twists to classic pizza, Pizza Patrón has become a go-to spot for those looking to try something new. Now, the company will expand its reach within the Valley with this new Avondale location, which is expected to open before the end of the year.
