Postino Wine Cafe is opening in Queen Creek.
The wine bar and cafe is opening a location at the new Switchyard project at the northeast corner of Ellsworth Loop and Ocotillo Road. According to AZ Central, the Switchyard is a $120 million dollar mixed-use development that will include 54,000 square feet of retail and restaurants and an apartment building with 215 luxury units. The project is a collaboration between Creation and Horizon Real Estate Ltd., and will include several restaurants in the mix — Postino being one of them. No opening date is set on the restaurant, as construction is still underway, but Instagram account @mikela_sells_az notes an early 2026 timeline.
Based in Phoenix, Postino Wine Cafe was founded by Lauren Bailey and Craig DeMarco, who opened the first cafe in a former post office — hence the name “Postino”, which is Italian for “postman”. The cafe has quickly grown and now has nearly 100 locations throughout seven states.
Postino has grown in popularity for its spaces designed to attract creativity. The cafe offers a curated selection of wines — with glasses available for $6 until 5 p.m. daily. The restaurant is also known for its grazing boards and a flexible monthly bottle club that allows members to choose the number of wines they want to receive.
