On Tuesday, Oct 11, Arizona-based grocery store Sprouts and hometown coffee roasters Press Coffee announced a partnership for a new “pilot” location inside the Sprouts Farmers Market at 3320 N 7th Ave in Phoenix, though an opening date is “to be determined” according to local news station KTAR.
A representative from Press Coffee did not immediately return a request for comment.
In a statement, Sprouts’ chief strategy officer, Dave McGlinchey, said, “Press and Sprouts have a shared mission of providing people fresh, quality, sustainable, and ethically sourced specialty products,” adding, “We are proud to open our first pilot location in the Phoenix community for all to enjoy.”
Similarly, Press co-owner Jason Kyle said, “Press is very excited about this location and serving the surrounding community.”
More than just a counter serving a range of coffees, shakers, and teas, Press’ Sprouts outpost will also feature a dedicated work area. However, it’s unclear if it will serve the brand’s signature breakfast items.
In addition to its roastery at 10443 N 32nd St., Press Coffee has nine standalone cafes throughout the greater Phoenix region, as well as one that’s “coming soon” in Scottsdale.
