Seafood City, the Filipino mega store, is opening at Chandler Fashion Square, at 3111 W. Chandler Boulevard.

The shopping center announced the imminent opening on its site, describing it as, “a Filipino grocery store with a vibrant selection of in-house restaurants that will serve Pan-Asian savory dishes, bakery treats and popular street foods. Seafood lovers will find something special: live tanks of fresh fish and crustaceans, paired with a complimentary cook-to-order service, offering a one of a kind catch & cook experience!” The all-encompassing culinary superstore is set to open some time in 2026.

Seafood City is the largest Filipino grocery chain in the United States and Canada. The store is known for its vibrant shopping experience and large selection of fresh seafood and Asian foods. The store sells Filipino imported items and snacks that can be rare to find in some areas of North America. In addition, Seafood City has an in-house food hall at every location. Vendors include Grill City (Filipino BBQ), Sizzle (sizzling plates), Slurp Alley (noodles), and Baker’s Avenue (baked goods). Some Seafood Cities also house a Jollibee, though there’s no word whether the Chandler location will.

Founded in 1989 in California and led by chairman Steve Go and CEO Carlos Go, there are now dozens of locations throughout the U.S. and Canada. This will be the first Arizona location.
