A new Someburros restaurant is getting ready to open later this year near the southwest corner of Yearling Road and Lake Pleasant Parkway in Peoria.

The project is currently in the permitting phase with the city, first reported by the Daily Independent. The Peoria Planning & Zoning Commission has approved a conditional-use permit allowing for a drive-thru and patio seating. The restaurant will be located on a 1.15-acre pad within the Shops at Lake Pleasant, a sub-area of the Lake Pleasant Towne Center commercial development. The building will be 3,519 square feet with a 400-square-foot covered patio. This will be the second Someburros location in Peoria.

This is the latest update from the Someburros team, which previously announced several new locations coming to the Valley. What Now Phoenix previously reported that the company plans to open in Buckeye at the southwest corner of Verrado Way and Roosevelt Street, followed by a Surprise location. At the time, Someburros had two additional West Valley locations in development that had not been officially announced. Now, the location of one of those sites has been confirmed.

When this new Peoria location opens, customers can expect a menu consistent with other Someburros restaurants. The menu features a variety of traditional Mexican dishes, including burritos, tacos, enchiladas, and quesadillas. Breakfast items such as chorizo and egg burritos are also available. Combo plates, vegetarian options, and a kids’ menu are part of the standard offerings. The new location at the Shops at Lake Pleasant will offer the same friendly service and vibrant atmosphere that Someburros is known for.
