Someburros, the family-owned restaurant that has been around since 1972, is getting ready to have a massive year with four new locations in Phoenix.
Previously, What Now Phoenix reported on the company opening a new location in Buckeye at the southwest corner of Verrado Way and Roosevelt Street, which is expected to open in Spring 2025, according to the Phoenix Business Journal. After the new Buckeye location, the company plans to open another location in Surprise in the Summer of 2025. Then, Someburros has two additional locations planned, which have yet to be announced by the company, but both will be in the West Valley.
This is a massive accomplishment for the company, which currently has 15 locations throughout Phoenix. Their famous tacos are made with slow-cooked meats, handmade tortillas, and their famous hot sauce. These time-tested and honored, made-from-scratch recipes are cooked with the highest-quality ingredients. Owner Tim Vasquez believes the key to Someburros’ growth has been balancing innovation with preservation on top of its delicious food. The company has also added drive-thrus, online ordering, third-party delivery, and margaritas to-go to its newer locations.
“It’s very important for me to honor our tried and true recipes — my grandmother’s recipes — so we don’t do a lot of change when it comes to our menu and the secret family ingredients and recipes,” Vasquez tells the Phoenix Business Journal. “There’s a lot of things that we’ve added to our concept that has helped a lot. In addition to that, we’ve made a conscious effort to keep prices as low as possible so families can afford to eat in a restaurant, even as costs go up. We are definitely still a mom-and-pop organization and although we have multiple locations, we still do everything with passion.”
