An existing building located at 3502 W. Glendale Ave. is being remodeled into a Starbucks, as suggested by a building permit found in City of Phoenix public records. The permit notes tenant improvements on a 1,582 square-foot shell, including new restrooms, new beverage prep equipment, and a whole scope of interior cosmetic upgrades.
If indeed this building is to become a Starbucks, the timing of our source suggests that we may see an opening in Spring or Summer of 2022. Neither owners of the building, nor representatives for Starbucks, could be reached for comment at the time of publication. That said, Starbucks does not franchise but does have licensed locations in addition to their official stores.
There are more than 15,000 Starbucks locations throughout the United States. Online statistics reveal that Phoenix is one of the Top 10 U.S. Cities that have the most Starbucks locations, capping in at 112 stores. Soon, that number may change to 113.
