The Backdoor Restaurant and Lounge is coming soon to Scottsdale at 7330 E. Main St. Owner Paul Mitchell tells What Now Phoenix that his latest concept should be ready to soft open by December.
“You’ll only be able to enter through the back door, which is why I’m calling it The Backdoor for now. The front door will still be blocked by the fence that’s up around the park,” he says, referring to ongoing renovations at Scottsdale’s Civic Center Park. Still, that hasn’t deterred any one from having a good time in the area, which Mitchell has witnessed nightly at his neighboring establishment, Old Town Tavern.
Since 2006, Old Town Tavern has earned a reputation as a famous neighborhood watering hole. Equipped with the “biggest little stage in Old Town Scottsdale,” OTT is known for its live music, coupled with generous and affordable cocktails and beers.
It’s clear that Mitchell knows how to host a good time but with The Backdoor, he will be taking a different approach. The new restaurant will offer a more upscale setting, where Martinis and Manhattans will be the stars of the show. The bar will be stocked with high-end bourbons and wines, plus appetizers and charcuterie boards to complement.
Until its opening this winter, The Backdoor is currently undergoing construction. Stay tuned.
