The Food Nanny, a Utah-based retailer that offers light bites using a unique ingredient, is expanding to Downtown Gilbert with a new location.

The new store will move into the former home of the old Batch Cookie Company space, according to Go Gilbert. It will offer a fresh approach to family-friendly cooking, emphasizing high-quality ingredients, freshly baked goods, and unique offerings designed to inspire home cooks. The new Food Nanny Gilbert will feature a selection of freshly baked goods, including artisan breads, pizzas, and other treats. The company is known for showcasing Kamut flour, an ancient grain known for its rich flavor, high protein content, and superior nutritional benefits. This versatile ingredient will be featured in various baked goods, allowing customers to enjoy healthier, flavorful meals.

In addition to freshly made breads and pizzas, the store will offer a wide range of specialty ingredients and gourmet products, including oils, spices, pastas, and more. For those looking to simplify meal preparation, pre-packaged meal kits featuring The Food Nanny’s signature recipes will also be available, making it easy to create home-cooked meals with premium ingredients. With cooking classes, demonstrations, and events planned throughout the year, the new location aims to create an interactive space where families can come together, learn, and experience the joy of cooking. The Food Nanny’s Downtown Gilbert store is set to open later this year, with the exact date to be announced. Once open, it will operate seven days a week, with special hours for events and cooking classes.

In 1970, the founders’ mother created a simple, budget-friendly meal plan with “Theme Nights” to make dinnertime easy, nutritious, and stress-free. This plan, which included Comfort Food Mondays, Italian Tuesdays, and more, became a lifestyle that brought their family together for meaningful meals and conversation. Today, The Food Nanny continues this tradition by helping families reconnect over delicious, nutritious meals with easy-to-follow meal plans and cooking tips while navigating the challenges of today’s busy life. In addition to their delicious baked goods and meal-planning support, The Food Nanny will feature a retail section stocked with high-quality cookware, kitchen tools, and specialty ingredients, making it a one-stop shop for cooking and baking enthusiasts.
