When it comes to The Habit Burger Grill, there are about 15 places throughout the Valley where you can find one. Of course, it would never hurt to add one more to that list. According to plans submitted to the city of Mesa, a project titled “Habit Burger Conversion” is proposed for the former Chase Bank at 1054 E. Southern Ave.
“The goal of this project is to develop the building for a restaurant with drive-thru usage,” the plans state. 4,396 square-feet of the proposed space will be developed into the entirety of the restaurant, with 508 square-feet dedicated to a fenced patio.
Based on the timing of this source, we suspect that The Habit will be ready to open in Q3 or Q4 of this year. Representatives have not returned requests for comment by the time of publication.
The Habit is known for their infamous “Charburger,” a well-seasoned patty topped with crisp lettuce, fresh tomato, caramelized onions, and pickles sandwiched between their grilled sesame seed buns. With five variations of their Charburgers, six different sandwiches, salads, onion rings, fries, and other sides to choose from, it’s easy to make coming here a force of “habit.”
