Soon, we’ll be able to find out just what kind of cuisine Uncle Lee’s Kitchen is going to dish out in Chandler. The business has long been known to be in the works at the northeast corner of Chandler Boulevard and Dobson Road, in the same plaza anchored by the new 99 Ranch Market.

Last year, Uncle Lee’s was reported to be opening late 2021. Some speculated a connection to a Seattle-based restaurant of the same name. While we can’t corroborate the latter, we know for sure that Uncle Lee’s has still yet to open.

What Now Phoenix has searched for months for the owner, who turns out to be Yuenong Li. When contacted, Li only said that they plan to open “maybe this month,” but was otherwise unable to give further comment at the time.

We have found an unconfirmed Yelp page that has extended the business name to Uncle Lee’s Kitchen ChongQing Chicken Pot, plus photos captured this month for a business in the area under construction and hiring.

Until we get more information, we’ll just have to wait and see what Uncle Lee’s is really about. Uncle Lee’s Kitchen will be at 1926 W. Chandler Boulevard.
