Venezia Pizzeria is headed for Chandler this year! The East Valley pizza chain’s sixth location will be at 1245 S. Price Road, according to a building permit found in city public records. The family-owned restaurant recently submitted tenant improvements on the 3,346 square-foot space next door to The Parlay Kitchen + Cocktails.
Owner Domenick Montanile confirms that Venezia’s sixth location should be ready to open this summer. “We’re really excited to open in Chandler, where we know we know we have a lot of loyal customers,” he tells What Now Phoenix. He adds that there will be a new spacious patio at this location, which is not a feature they have at the nearby Gilbert restaurant.
Still, Chandler can expect the same fantastic slice specials that has made Venezia’s a local favorite. For less than $10, customers can order a slice or two, plus their salads, boneless wings and a drink in various combinations. Upgrade to bone-in wings, beer or a glass of wine for just a few bucks more.
The first Venezia’s Pizzeria opened in 1998 on Mill and Southern in Tempe, followed by a Chandler location in 2003. In 2011, after opening two more restaurants in Mesa, Venezia’s relocated their Chandler operation to a larger space in Gilbert. In 2015, they ventured outside of the East Valley and opened a location in North Phoenix.
Loyal Venezia’s customers often drove up to an hour just to get a taste of their favorite New York-style slices. But now, it won’t be long before those in Chandler don’t have to make the trip. For more information and updates, visit www.venezias.com.
Correction: This article has been updated to state that Venezia’s is moving next door to The Parlay Kitchen + Cocktails, which will remain in business. There are also sizable patios at the North Phoenix and East Mesa locations. Finally, the slice specials that include wings are under $10 for boneless wings only.
