Vinsar’s Lounge, a brand new concept located at 2801 N. Central Avenue in Encanto Village, recently reopened under new ownership.

The venue was formerly known as Wok ‘N Roll and is now operated by partners Sarit Kommineni and Vinod Gutha, according to Phoenix New Times. The name “Vinsar’s Lounge” combines the owners’ names. The 4,500-square-foot space is being redesigned to resemble a five-star airport lounge, with new decor replacing previous Wok ‘N Roll memorabilia. Kommineni and Gutha bring experience from India, where their families have a background in hospitality and hoteliering.

This is their first restaurant venture in the U.S. The lounge will feature Indian DJ Nights, showcasing Desi beats, Bollywood, and Tollywood music. Weekly events include karaoke nights on Tuesdays, vinyl nights on Wednesdays, trivia on Thursdays, live music on Fridays, and a brunch event with bottomless mimosas on Sundays. The lounge also plans to accommodate business meetups with partitioned areas for small gatherings. Several former Wok ‘N Roll employees have been retained, and popular Asian fusion dishes such as udon, dan dan noodles, chow mein, and Pad Thai remain on the menu.

The new owners have introduced fusion takes on fried rice and Chicken 65, blending Indian and Chinese flavors. The menu features a broad range of Asian fusion and Indian-inspired dishes. Appetizers include pork egg rolls, crab puffs, and apple potstickers. Noodle bowls and fried rice are available with various protein options. The sushi menu features traditional nigiri and sashimi, alongside specialty rolls like the Madonna roll and rainbow roll. Indian appetizers, such as chili chicken and paneer dishes, complement entrees like butter chicken and chicken tikka masala, all served with basmati rice.
