Zaxby’s, the fast-casual restaurant known for its chicken “fingerz”, wings, and sandwiches, is eyeing a second Queen Creek location.

The restaurant filed an administrative site plan review application with the City of Queen Creek for a proposed Zaxby’s within the Madera Center shopping center development at 20465 S. Signal Butte Road. No completion date is known at the time.

A Facebook post by Stewart + Reindersma Architecture calls Madera Center, “The Madera Retail Center is an upcoming commercial destination located at the southeast corner of Signal Butte Road and Queen Creek Road—right in the heart of the growing Madera master-planned community. Now under construction, this retail hub will feature a mix of restaurants, service providers, and convenience options designed to meet the needs of the area’s expanding residential population. While tenant announcements are still to come, the inclusion of a new Starbucks is already generating buzz and setting the tone for what’s ahead.”

According to the Queen Creek Chamber of Commerce, Brian Nelson is the owner/operator of the flagship Queen Creek Zaxby’s, and will bring several more locations to the Phoenix area in the coming years.

Zaxby’s is best known for its chicken-centric menu that includes chicken fingerz, wings, and sandwiches, served with a variety of signature sauces including Zax sauce that’s loved for its creamy, tangy, and smoky flavor. Most restaurants also customize each location’s decor to highlight the city its location in to give it a hometown feel.
