A new neighborhood cafe and market is coming soon to Scottsdale’s Saddle Mountain Plaza. Construction has just begun for Zingara Coffee Bar & Bespoke Market at 11475 N. 136th St.
Owner Hera Ambrosio says that she hopes to open Zingara by November of this year, at the latest. Raised in Italy by restaurateurs, Ambrosio has been in the industry her entire life. After living in the Valley for nearly 30 years, she looks forward to bringing a taste of her European upbringing to Scottsdale.
Influenced by the regions of Spain, France and of course, Italy, Zingara will have European-style coffee, pastries, wines, paninis and more unlike anything else in the area. The space will act as sort of a “third wave” coffee shop in the morning, serving high-quality European roasts pulled from La Marzocco espresso machines.
During the day, lunch service will focus on catering for nearby office buildings, but there will also be a grab-and-go section for takeout meals. In the evenings, Zingara will feature a wine bar serving European bar eats, old and new world wines, beers, and a small selection of premium liquor.
The space will also include a small market section, offering ingredients and other European food products that are hard to find in the Valley. Imported staples such as organic milk and butter, handmade pastas, meats, cheeses, and even a selection of unique gifts will be on hand to bring a taste of southern Europe home with you or to a friend’s house.
