According to a recent permit filing, G-Love will be expanding with a new concept called The Love Shack in Slabtown, located at 1645 NW 21st Avenue.
“We are currently working on construction, with it estimated to be finished sometime in December, so our goal is to be able to open our doors in the beginning of January 2024,” Quintin Scalfaro, Director of Beverage Operations for The Love Shack, told What Now Portland.
When it comes to G-Love, they are described as rewriting the playbook of American dining establishments. Stated to be in the heart of Portland, this eatery introduces the concept of a ‘Reverse Steakhouse,’ where the spotlight shines brightly on vegetables harvested at the pinnacle of their freshness, while proteins gracefully assume the role of supporting cast members, appearing as delectable side dishes.
Chef and owner Garrett Benedict takes immense pride in curating a menu that celebrates the distinctiveness of locally grown produce. Central to the restaurant’s exceptional dining experience is its partnership with Olde Moon Farm, nestled in Silverton, a one-hour drive south of Portland in the Willamette Valley. This collaboration is said to be the secret sauce that elevates every meal at G-Love to an extraordinary culinary journey, according to the company website.
