According to a recent permit filing, Nectaris aims to debut in the Buckman area at 1403 SE Belmont Street.

Behind Nectaris is Beverly McKenzie. Once Nectaris opens its doors, the planned days of operation will be Thursday through Saturday from 4 PM to 10 PM, and Sunday from 2 PM to 9 PM with no seasonal variations.

Nectaris was filed under Nectaris Adoris LLC, according to Bizapedia. The LLC was incorporated approximately three months ago on August 22nd, 2024. Beverly is listed to be the individual with direct knowledge of the LLC filing as well.

Nectaris would be taking over the former home of Fermenter. Yelp has reported that Fermenter is permanently closed. RedFin reports that the property itself was built in 1927. The building boasts 9,400 square feet of space on a 0.23-acre lot.

While it is not confirmed why the name for the concept has been chosen to be Nectaris, it could mean that the word “nectaris” has Latin origins and is related to “nectar,” which refers to something sweet, often symbolizing the drink of the gods in ancient mythology. It can imply something pure, life-giving, or nourishing, especially in poetic or descriptive contexts.
