Prices Skyrocket at Fiesta San Antonio 2025

The 11-day Fiesta event, which started on April 24, has featured a variety of new vendor shops this year. But the excitement of the San Antonio crowd is fading slowly due to their rising rates.

Chicken on sticks are being sold for $10 at Fiesta Do Los Reyes. These Fiesta favorites were priced between $6 to $8 during the event in 2022.

Other than this, the beverage menus for early Fiesta events reflect prices at around $8 to $10 for 25-ounce cans. The same cans are offered for a lesser price of below $3 at H-E-B.

Similarly, Fiesta vendors are selling margaritas prepared with Don Julio tequila for $18 per drink. Spec’s offers a 375-milliliter Don Julio Blanco bottle for less than $30. These bottles include a mix of about six to eight margaritas.

Apart from the food and drink offerings at San Antonio Fiesta, parking has also emerged as a pricing concern for residents.

San Antonio Crowd Apprehensive of Heading to the Event

The people of San Antonio have expressed their disappointment regarding the hefty prices at the Fiesta 2025 event through social media. Some have shared images of a $30 parking sign and called it unaffordable. At the same time, others have said that they would have their fiesta at home.

Vendors Cite Inflation for Higher Rates

Amid a turbulent economic situation due to tariffs and inflation, vendors at the San Antonio Fiesta have come up with high prices. As some of them are students, the vendors are finding it difficult to meet the demands of attendees without increasing their rates.

Restaurants and food suppliers associated with Fiesta 2025 are also not untouched by the effects of inflation. The San Antonio-based eateries and suppliers are not selling their food/beverages for lower rates as they are preparing for upcoming tariffs in the country.

Fiesta San Antonio 2025 has brought back the biggest party and cultural vibrancy of the city with its festive traditions for attendees. However, locals are not enthusiastic about making it to the Fiesta this year due to the huge price rise in its food, beverages, and parking offerings.

Vendors are stating inflation and tariffs as the reasons for their rates. Against this backdrop, organizers can think of measures to balance vendor sustainability, customer affordability, and the Fiesta’s traditional legacy.
