Citing a desire to focus on other projects, Chef Dady revealed on April 28, 2025, that he would not renew Jardín’s lease. This comes on the heels of his most recent upcoming project, Mexico Ceaty, a food hall that aims to focus on flavors of the cuisines from the South of America.
Nevertheless, Chef Dady will continue to cater for the events at the Betty Kelso Center at the San Antonio Botanical Garden, a venue for private gatherings. “This is not goodbye. It’s simply a new season, and as a Garden goes, the seasons change. I look forward to continuing to support the Garden and its mission through our catering partnership and future collaborations,” Dady stated in his email.
“We’re incredibly proud of what we built with the Garden – from revitalizing the restaurant space to creating memorable experiences for our guests. The Garden has been a phenomenal partner, and I’ll always cherish our time there,” he continued.
Chef Dady’s Future
Chef Jason Dady has been recognized all over the country for his work with local eateries, such as concept restaurants like Two Bros BBQ Market and Tre Trattoria. Jardín was the project he had focused on the most in the last five years.
Botanical Garden CEO and president Katherine Tumble said in a statement for news release, “We are so grateful to Chef Jason Dady for his culinary leadership and incredible support of the Garden over the past five years.”
Jardín will continue to offer their services through Saturday, May 31, 2025. After that, the restaurant will offer only one final Mother’s Day brunch prior to being phased out of San Antonio’s Botanical Garden. You can make reservations on Jardín’s official website.
