Mokara Hotel & Spa, a Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star hotel, is set to renovate its award-winning guest rooms and suites. Located along San Antonio’s iconic River Walk, the transformation is slated for completion in October this year.

Revitalization of the Iconic River Walk Retreat
The renovation draws inspiration from the building’s roots as a 20th-century saddle factory. Hand-stitched furniture and décor will be featured in the suites and guest rooms, reflecting the building’s artisanal roots.
Horsehair-inspired wallpaper will line the hallways and continue into the guest rooms. The neutral color palette will be complemented by herringbone wood accents and handcrafted details.
Guest rooms will showcase original artwork by Dallas-based artist Lindsey Meyers. Meyers specializes in impressionistic and abstract works using acrylic, gouache, oil, and other mediums.
Each renovated room will include a free-standing bathtub and Mokara’s signature Bathtub Butler program, offering personalized service from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
The butler can draw a guest’s bath or deliver therapeutic bath crystals for a personalized spa-like experience. New vanities and modern fixtures will enhance both comfort and convenience.
