The popular Wendy’s franchise is set to open a new location in San Antonio in 2026. According to a recently filed licensing permit, the new eatery will open at 2308 State Highway 46 W., Suite 101.

Franchisee owner, Terry Maxey, tells What Now San Antonio that the project is in the very early stages and will begin construction in 2026. Maxey says this will be one of a handful of Wendy’s he currently owns and operates in Texas.

The permit details that the estimated costs for renovations on the interior of a vacant lease space, where this new Wendy’s will open its doors, are a whopping $184,000.

And it’s in a prime location. It appears that the area is getting an upgrade.

Located along State Highway 46, the proposed project sits at the corner of Highway 46 and Alyssa Way, where a Fischer’s Neighborhood Market is expected to open by the end of 2025, according to its website.

There will be a car wash, a gas station, and Hunt Brothers Pizza next door to the planned Wendy’s.

Of course, you can expect the nation-wide beloved traditional Wendy’s menu at this new franchise location at the intersection of Alyssa Way and Highway 46.

While Maxey did not share very many details about the new establishment, he did share that he plans to continue to bring Wendy’s to San Antonio.
