According to MySA, Chef Jacob Williamson — a professional who has trained under the well-known chef, restaurateur, and entrepreneur, Wolfgang Puck — is renovating an old farmhouse in Boerne, preparing to debut a new steakhouse in the town.

Coming to 12 Herff Road, just a hop and a skip from Boerne City Park, 12 Herff Steakhouse will be neighbored by establishments such as Hamby’s, the Mexican food restaurant Las Guitarras, and the microbrewery The Dodging Duck Brewhaus & Restaurant.

Williamson tells What Now San Antonio that the menu will change monthly, adjusting to the weather, and will feature shareable appetizers such as wild mushroom arancini with a truffle sauce. Plates will center around ingredients such as handmade pasta, locally sourced Texas wagyu, Texas redfish, and diver scallops.

“The menu is going to be super locally sourced. Everything will be made from scratch,” Williamson shares. He adds, “I’m working on late fall menu items, winter menu items… We’re aiming for a Q4 opening.”

“I’m looking forward to being down in the Boerne area,” Williamson concludes.
