According to an Instagram post by the upcoming restaurant, a new upscale Southern eatery is gearing up to debut in Fredericksburg.

Coming to 305 S Lincoln Street — taking over “the original local feed store… an original gathering place over 73 years ago for ranchers to purchase supplies and have conversations about their industry and life” —  Mesquite at the Warehouse will land near establishments such as Chase’s Place Cocktails, Fredericksburg Brewing Company, and The Auslander.

Hunter and Amy Huffman launch their hospitality group with the opening of Mesquite at the Warehouse, within the historic building of Woerner Warehouse,” the concept shares on its website.

Described as “a modern upscale BBQ concept that features a large emphasis on fresh salads and gourmet sandwiches,” the eatery intends to serve “delectable smoked meats and locally grown produce to house-made sweets and bread.”

Mesquite at the Warehouse is slated to open this summer.
