Andy’s Frozen Custard, “a chain of United States frozen custard stores with over 85 locations in 14 states,” is planning to open a new outpost in North San Antonio.

Coming to a recently constructed 2,500-square-foot spot at 23438 Wilderness Oak, the eatery will land near CVS, Dunkin’ Donuts, and Whataburger.

What Now San Antonio reached out to franchisee Joe Shields to inquire about the upcoming eatery, but he could not provide additional information before publication.

Nevertheless, the filing offers further insight, disclosing that construction began in January and is slated to finish later this month, costing an estimated $1,900,000 in total.

For readers who are unfamiliar with the franchise, Andy’s Frozen Custard is known for its frozen custard of either vanilla or chocolate flavors that can be topped with a variety of ingredients — think Oreo, cookie dough, strawberry, espresso, cherries, almonds, and others. Andy’s also serves sundaes, malts, floats, pies, brownies, and seasonal specialties.
